Prayer

Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit. James 5:16-18.

The power of prayer is awesome, far past our wildest immaginings! As a Christian Minister once put it: "Prayer is touching Omnipotence." Not because of any good in the person praying - we are declared righteous before God only through the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ - but because of the Creator of the Universe before Whose throne we may bow and present our requests.

Join us for a prayer meeting every Teusday from 13:30 to 14:30 in the Chapel on Campus.
